Newborn Care Specialist

 A Newborn Care Specialist works in a family’s home, providing care for newborns and infants so that the parents or mom can get rest. That is where I come in! I know having a newborn can be exciting, but tiresome at the same time, I am here to care for your newborn at night, while you and your family get the rest you need!

Newborn Care Specialist duties includes:

• Breastfeeding and swaddling guidance. 
• Teaching the importance of routines.
• Overnight or Daytime care for the newborn.
• Cleaning or sterilizing bottles, pacifiers and breast pumps.
• Umbilical cord and Circumcision care
• Bathing and diapering
• Nursery organization
• Knowledgeable in developmental milestones and help your baby reach them.
• Caring for baby so parents can take a nap, shower and get some rest.
• Help with washing and folding infant laundry. 
• Assist In establishing a healthy sleep routine.(sleep conditioning)
• Provide comfort and care to infant.

Newborn Care Specialist do not have medical degrees or licenses and cannot diagnose. Newborn Care Specialist do not offer advanced lactation support (Please consult your pediatrician and a lactation consultant for any medical and lactation concerns)
